ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 5700 Review
September 25, 2019AMD recently released its latest GPU offering in the form of the RX 5700 and RX 5700XT. Both of the new AMD graphics cards have their share of strengths and weaknesses. In our review of the Reference Radeon RX 5700, we stated that one thing is for sure, it’s smolderingly hot. But, as most of us know, high-temperature readings are acceptable especially when the graphics card in question has a blower-type cooling system.
These kinds of issues are commonly addressed by AIB partners of AMD, and ASUS being an AIB partner has its own renditions of the Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT. ASUS opted to release TUF Gaming versions of the Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT. Riding on a 144 hours validation program, the TUF Gaming graphics cards boast stable top-notch performance out of the box.
In this one, we’ll be testing out the ASUS TUF Gaming Radeon RX 5700 graphics card. Would it outperform its origin and solidly justify the brow furrowing price difference from its origin?

Build & Design:
All of the graphics cards under TUF Gaming have one distinct feature that sets them apart from other offerings in the market, and that is its build quality which is the product of over 144 hours of quality enhancement process before they are released into the market.
It’s a thick graphics solution, with its entirety taking up about 3 PCI slots. However, its size allows for a beefy heatsink, which runs from the GPU all throughout the other vital components on its black PCB.
Completing its tank-like protection is its black backplate with unique diagonal TUF patterns running on it. The aluminum backplate isn’t just for show, it also increases the overall rigidity of the card.
