AMD Ryzen 7 4700G Alleged Specifications Surface
May 16, 2020The entry-level PC gaming market was recently disrupted by AMD’s Ryzen entry-level CPUs, the Ryzen 3 3300X and Ryzen 3 3100. These CPUs not only are competitively priced, but they were also able to match and even outmatch the competition at a number of benchmarks and games.
We are still waiting and hoping for the APU parts of this generation, but information about these processors are still not made available to us as of the moment. However, what we do know is, Ryzen processors that had G variants are usually of Ryzen 3 and Ryzen 5 product lines. And these are what we are really expecting for this generation.
However, this release pattern could be disrupted if rumors about this generation’s APU would turn out to be true. There is an image and spec sheet that are supposedly of the Ryzen 7 4700G surfacing online. The spec sheet shows that the rumored Ryzen 7 4700G would be an 8-core processor that would feature Simultaneous Multi-threading (SMT). And according to rumors, the Ryzen 7 4700G would still be of the 7nm process and would be under AMD’s Zen 2 architecture. Its graphics unit could hit 2100 MHz, while its cores run at a 3600 MHz base and could boost to 4400 MHz, according to the supposedly leaked spec sheet.
If this would be true, this Ryzen 7 APU will be the first of its kind and will pave way to SFF builds that will be able to game and do professional tasks with ease. Imagine an easy to carry SFF system that will run eSports titles easily, and some of the most demanding games at 1080p on medium to high settings, and will munch up some professional works without the help of a graphics card that will surely add up to the weight of a mobile SFF build.
