Rex Regum Qeon crowned as Champions of the Predator League 2022
September 19, 2022Youthful roster of Rex Regum Qeon (RRQ) Philippines dominated the Predator League 2022 Philippines Finals as they swept the FPS veterans of South Built Esports with a much-needed 2-0 win in the LAN Grand Finals on Saturday, September 17 at SM Mall of Asia Central Atrium.
The crowd went wild as the competition offered an intense non-stop Valorant Action on the main stage. All audience and players were ignited all the more with excitement on the idea that after two years of purely online competition since the pandemic, Top Valorant teams in the Philippines finally had the chance to battle face-to-face.
Prior to the grand finals, RRQ had to dispatched first the Oasis Gaming with a scoreline of 13-5 on both Haven and Breeze. Meanwhile, South Built Esports, with a very storied-past, won against Team Secret in a full 3-map series.
Some of the internet esports’ favorites and heroes such as Een Mercado, Team Payaman, and burg also joined in on the excitement at Mall of Asia. Some hosted giveaways as well as meet-and-greets with their fans and followers while Reg Rubio rocked the crowd with the electrifying song right before the start of the Grand Finals.
The newly crowned team, RRQ, brought home the Predator League Shield, as well as PHP 200,000 for their flawless run. Meanwhile, South Built Esports was awarded PHP 100,000 for their valiant effort.
