As Tiktok, IG reels, FB reels and YouTube Shorts are becoming the real thing these days, taking “unlimited” images and videos is becoming a norm for making memories as well. Almost everyone now is allowed to become an instant content creator.

On this article, let’s me share with you some tips on how we can make our contents more memorable and special:

Vertical or horizontal videos. Traditional video orientation and aspect ratio used to be just horizontal—either widescreen or full screen. These days, with mobile phones and social media, people have adapted to shooting vertical videos which greatly work for FB / IG Stories and Reels, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok.

Save and organize. You have the Cloud for saving your pictures and images, but such services sometimes expire, have glitches, and may cost you monthly subscription fees. Thus, saving your memories on a hard drive would greatly help.

Shoot and choose. You don’t want to lose any precious moments so it’s always best to shoot everything and choose later. With digital media plus larger storage, you practically have unlimited capabilities. With the right apps and programs, you can also edit and enhance your content to make them look even better.

Lighting is everything. While artificial lighting is readily available, taking advantage of natural lighting will work wonders for your photos and videos. Daytime is usually perfect for high-action and on-the-go activities. For dramatic content, afternoon or nighttime is usually preferred.

Remember the rule of thirds. The most well-composed photos and videos follow the rule of thirds, a guideline that places your subject in the left or right third of an image, leaving the other two-thirds more open. This guideline helps to create balanced and compelling shots.

Use a good camera with game-changing capabilities

GoPro is already synonymous with action and adventure. Adrenaline-pumping activities such as skydiving, biking, running, or surfing may be at GoPro’s core, but there’s so much more you can do with such a small camera. With the rise of vlogging and video-based apps like TikTok, GoPros, along with its signature durability and ruggedness, are now designed with content creation in mind.

GoPro has announced the best HERO Cameras, yet: HERO11 Black, HERO11 Black Creator Edition, and HERO11 Black Mini. All three feature a new, larger sensor that delivers the highest resolution, highest 10-bit color depth, highest level of video stabilization, and the widest field of view ever featured natively in a HERO camera.

Video platforms usually have multiple aspect ratios and resolution requirements, which may result in reduced viewing experience if not properly done. The HERO11 Black solves this with its new larger sensor that enables an 8:7 aspect ratio—the largest vertical field of view ever on a GoPro. Videos are slightly taller than they are wide so cropping according to any preferred aspect ratio is effortless without sacrificing the end product.

You can now capture more of a scene vertically with the ability to crop for different aspect ratios in the GoPro Quik app. With a single video, you can create extra-tall 9:16 vertical shots for Instagram and TikTok, plus high-resolution 16:9 cinematic shots ideal for YouTube or the big screen. You can also zoom in on the best sections of your videos to create high-resolution close-ups.

The new sensor also enables HyperView digital lens, the widest 16:9 field of view ever native to a HERO camera. It’s perfect for filming first-person views of scenic shots, biking, surfing, motorcycling, and even daily experiences—more heroic and more immersive than you ever imagined possible.

Best of all, the new 1/1.9” sensor also lets you capture over 1 billion colors in 10-bit color video at up to 5.3K resolution at 60 frames per second, as well as in 27 megapixel photos—that’s 64x more colors compared to 16.7 million colors in 8-bit mode—truer to how the eyes perceive ultra-colorful experiences.

The HERO11 Black also provides simpler camera control with Easy and Pro Modes. Easy Control makes the GoPro experience easier with a streamlined interface, letting you record in the best setting for any situation. For advanced users, Pro Controls let you unlock the HERO11 camera’s full capabilities for maximum creative control.

All three HERO11 Black cameras also have the following features:

•           Emmy Award®-winning HyperSmooth 5.0 technology with in-camera 360-degree Horizon Lock to keep your footage steady even if your camera rotates a full 360 degrees during capture.

•           New hyper-immersive HyperView digital lens delivers the widest angle 16:9 shot ever produced natively in a HERO camera. It’s for high-action point-of-view capture. Plus, GoPro’s signature SuperView is now available in 5.3K60 and 4K120.

•           Three new Night Effect Time Lapse presets that make capturing pro-quality Star Trails, Light Painting, and Vehicle Light Trails easy.

•           TimeWarp 3.0 now captures at 5.3K, an impressive 91% leap in resolution from 4K, and an incredible 665% more than 1080p.

•           Enduro Battery dramatically improves camera performance in cold and moderate temperatures, extending recording times up to 38% in HERO11 Black. Enduro comes in-box with HERO11 Black and HERO11 Black Creator Edition and as a built-in Enduro battery in HERO11 Black Mini.
