gamescom asia featured over 177 exhibitors and had a 20% increase in attendance from last year, cementing its place as Southeast Asia’s premier gaming event.
The exhibitors came from all around the world and showcased their innovations, solidifying Southeast Asia’s role as a fast-growing hub in the global gaming ecosystem.
Here are some of the key milestones from the event:
- Shawn Layden, ex-Chairman of PlayStation Worldwide Studios delivered a keynote emphasizing the industry’s need for creativity over-reliance on blockbusters
- Singapore’s Minister of State Alvin Tan highlighted Southeast Asia as the world’s fastest-growing esports market
- CAPCOM returned with a massive 1,000 sqm booth, offering exclusive demos and hosting the CAPCOM Pro Tour 2024 Super Premier Singapore, where Shuto of crazyraccoon emerged victorious
- Fans experienced exclusive previews of titles like Monster Hunter Wilds and Street Fighter 6 as well as live performances by artists like SHIHORI
- With speakers from SEGA, CAPCOM, and Xbox, the event brought together over 4,400 industry professionals, marking a new high for regional business engagement.
Next year’s gamescom asia will be held in Singapore from 30 October to 2 November 2025.
